Mining and Processing Complex based on the Chernogorskoye Deposit

Project Characteristics

The project is being implemented in the Norilsk Industrial District of the Krasnoyarsk Territory with a total investment amount of 215 bln rubles; it represents the construction of a new highly efficient modern mining and processing enterprise based on the Chernogorskoye Deposit of complex copper-nickel ores. The design production capacity of the first stage of the Chernogorsk Mining and Processing Plant is 7 mln tons of ore per year, its final product is copper and nickel concentrate with a high content of palladium and platinum. Implementation of the project will create about 4,000 workplaces during the construction stage and 1,600 workplaces during the operational phase, and will significantly increase the potential of the domestic mining industry.
